There's this news article where like pds voted for the best female singer for the beginning of 2009 .. 9 out of 15 chose SNSD.
I thought that was interesting.
From Rookies to ... ... the current SNSD we see now. So much has changed. 
It's cool though. Just sometimes this whole popularity thing makes me feel like the girls are always having to par up with higher expectations. It used to be "oh we have to prove ourselves" ... now that they've been able to prove themselves, they have to work harder to show improvement each time and I think they're doing that.
Record on Melon for second day is whatever, rofl I still find it cooler that they hit top 10 on the first day. They'll get #1 eventually, I'm pretty sure. If not rofl I still remember in the old days when if they ranked top 50 people were ecstatic, so it really doesn't matter. Hopefully I'm not the only one that feels this way but with 'Gee's' comeback being so explosive news of them breaking records to me ... just doesn't seem as shocking or interesting. Like when I heard Genie got #6 on Melon, I was happy but when Gee hit the top 10, I couldn't even breathe. I guess it's probably because pre-Gee, the girls were only doing so-so, but because of what a hit it was they appealed to a larger audience and gained sooooo many more fans, that rofl it's not the same as being the underdog and getting the top prize anymore, now that they're the "big dogs" ... I find it hahaha less thrilling.
Anyways I do remember the old SNSD fan days I came as a really late fan haha but slowly adapted. It's weird to think I've been following this group for almost 2 years now haha. 
Seen them grow, improve, mature, and it's been a blast Hopefully new fans can try and watch some of their old stuff and get to know them a bit more. I love their new sound/concept but it's their personalities that have kept me here in the long run.
